










DBKitchen
DBKitchen is a new catering company specialising in events, parties and festivals. DBK is the parent brand of Dirty Boys Burgers which was established in 2021, and an upcoming pizza brand to be expected in the next year. The client requested a visual identity with a level of maturity to reach a broader range of customers, whilst maintaining a grungy, cool attitude.
The client wanted the brand to be bold and loud, but most importantly it needed to be fun. The typeface I chose for the wordmark is punchy and has attitude, but doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is the personality we felt it was important to convey. I chose a mininamist, monochrome colour scheme to compliment and balance out the busy and grungy graphic style. This works well to ensure the designs don’t become too overbearing and ‘in-your-face’.
The use of the QR code in advertising via posters, leaflets, business cards, even tape, provides quick and easy access to all necessary information for potential customers. Over the coming months we will be developing the brand further, and on other elements such as letterheads, flyers, social media content and more posters.
