NOK NOI

Nok Noi is a Thai street food brand owned by French company Luna Foods. They specialise in authentic Thai dishes that are readily available to be heated up in store, or to take home with you and prepare yourself. My brief was to design a partial visual identity that meshed well with Luna’s other brands, including my previous project ‘The Bread Bandits’. They also required colourful packaging and label designs for the dishes, and a meaningful mascot at the centre of the indentity.

I used a vibrant palette to represent the vivid colours of Thailand, but to also enable the packaging to stand out next to other generic in-store microwave meals. The brand mascot is known simply as ‘The Thai Lady’ a warm and friendly character with a touch of sass. She was created to welcome the customer and bring an authentic and traditional presence to the brand.
